Mike in Seattle -- thank you for the compliments.

Dahrling, you couldn't look bad even if you had Dinerman's jacket on.

Dinerman - I love you man, but that is the ugliest jacket I have ever seen in my entire existence.

Freebird -- I am horribly sorry about your brother. I lost my sister two and a half years ago and a very dear friend the following summer.

That's a great looking ensemble Dinerman, but how about letting us see more of those shoes? :)

That's how you do it.

Btw, what cap is that?

IMG_3524.jpg

cap is a "personality cap". It's amazing how different the vintage caps are in cut than new ones. They just don't make caps in this shape anymore.

Very simple and classic outfit today.

silkblouse with adorable bow in the back
Brown/grey pencilskirt
40s style suede pumps
seamed stockings
vintage lavender colored pearls
Taupe cropped cardigan (not shown)

I know my picture quality is horrible (and I look awful because of my insomnia) but at least the outfit is looking sharp :) .

Thank you all for your kind wishes and warm thoughts. He outlived the Dr's predictions. They said he would only live to be 9,he was 56. Randy had been in the nursing home for not quite a year, but the staff all loved him. He was one of the happiest people I've known, he will be missed by all who knew him, but he's in a much better place now.

Nice!

There was at least one hippie (and the requisite motivation) involved with the creation of this coat.

First my condolences for your loss...

Second, my great-grandmother was much the same. They told her parents she wouldn't live through childhood due to a heart defect. When she did, it was "she won't make it through adolescence". Then it was "she'll never have kids". She was in her late 80s, had 3 children, and untold scores of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren when we lost her. Doctors....
