    How festive. Which Talisker?

  4. Regular Talisker. I keep it around because of friend of mine likes it. I do too but I like Dalwhinnie and a few others just as well. :D

Raided a friend's whisky cabinet at a party last weekend. Tasted lots of fancy stuff but settled on the Johnnie Walker Blue. Between three of us we polished a bottle off.

Martel Cognac. It's not my usual spirit, and doesn't have the smoothness of Courvoisier, but it was free.... and I never turn down free spirits.

How was that, Miss Golightly? I'm getting ready to open a bottle in about 30 minutes!

Absente from Provence. All alone for Thanksgiving, and was hoping this would give me an artistic kick in the pants.

Went out to dinner with my family last night and they mixed an excellent Manhattan.

I recently purchased a bottle of mead, I saw and thought "Hey vikings!"

I find the taste pleasant enough and it is especially nice coming in from a winter day, takes the edge off the cold when I am finally in of doors.

I tried something called "Winter Pimms" last night.

Served warm with apple juice. It was surprsingly good for a cold night.
