I usually stick with a safety razor and a good shaving brush, gives a cleaner, more controlled shave. I also picked up a few techniques and product ideas from Chaps & Co, where they really focus on proper prep and aftercare. Using a warm towel, quality shaving cream, and finishing with balm makes a huge difference. Keeps the skin smooth without irritation.

I use a safety razor. Japanese platinum coated FEATHER brand razors are an absolute game changer.

I travel a bunch and want to take my kit with me. There are a lot of pouches and cases to be had, but Ive more recently found the 'Muhle Blade Guard' (about $5 bucks) to be the perfect yet minimal way to carry my Merkur safety razor without damage or danger. I actually use it at home as well so the little ones donlt accidentally play with it.

I used to use DE, SE and straights. Nice soaps, mix of badger and boar brushes. Honestly, cannot remember what I used last.

It's still just sad, that the blue Wilkinson shave soap stick is out of production. Such an excellent shaving soap, same good as the Speick shave soap stick.

A local shaving cream, my grandfather used it, dad used it and I will forever use it, it's called D'Amaris.
Pretty common here in Easter Europe.

Today an Italian shaving cream called Proraso, which was very common and very cheap till a decade ago.
And my usual Merkur 37 bar slant coupled with green Astra blades.
