Another Optimo wearer !! I wore my Medio Fino Montecristi I got from PB last summer today as well. Is yours a Monti or a Cuenca Lano weave?

It's a finely woven Cuenca in llano weave, yes

I'm amazed by just how many Akubra models there are. Everytime I think I know them all, a new one seems to materialize.

It is a handsome hat. Light weight for your weather so it works like a charm. Brown is a good color for lots of options. This model just hits the right spot for your uses and my uses. Sweet!

Just by chance, how do you handle the "droop's?" My brim tends to droop low. I have difficulty keeping the brim as high as I would choose.

I really like it. A bit softer than my other Akubras, and the band is exceptional: some feathers are somehow overlaid atop the leather in the front only, but flatly. Very interesting effect!
