A couple of recently fine-tuned vintage lids - Lamson & Hubbard (tan) and Royal Stetson (gray).

^ I'm sure those creases would make the OCD crowd manic, but I really dig their perfect imperfection.

Yes, the older hats are easier to put an organic crease into. Modern hats don't move as well.

When I watch old movies I keep an eye out for hats with these types of creases, and, quite frankly, get excited when I see them.

It's neat to spot those hats with finger marks from the shaping, you just know how nice that felt is. Its fun to see a hat like that stay the same through several scenes. I wish I could get my BGCD into some of those unusual shapes.

Very cool Bowen! Turn it any which way, still works the same. I dig it.

……………..of all the so called creases we have seen and tried., there is that personal thingy type crease that just does it for you. This of course besides the crease we already know and have in our purchases and acquirement when it comes to hats, lids, caps etc., etc.

My fave crease that I have really grown and accustomed to is a couple I have tried to do on my own. Now I have an OR and an OC...well I guess the OR would be the same in a sense that you can bash it to your liking.
I try not to bash permanent right away as I like to try and see first what can it become to your sight and looks.

These are the two as of late that I really gravitate to : Both Dry Bash...……..am lucky it's stayed there for quite sometime now, the hat must like the shape?

Note? We have to forget what is out there already that has been bashed into permanently when you have bought it.

Unless it's been done already? this looks the best for me, at least one?:p

The first couple is a dry bash, it's been done I know but it's proper for my type.

When I picked up my Premier Stratoliner in the states, I did a quick and dirty sorta cattleman on it. It was difficult because 1. I suck... and 2. It had a patented Moon diamond in it that was tough to work out.

The below is the result... I constantly look at it hanging and think “crap, I gotta fix that”. But then I put it on and realize that I really like it.

With the higher in the front brim and general lived-in feel of it, I call it the “what if Ralph Kramden wore thin ribbons” bash.
