Just oscillating between the bootlegger and the JL.
Catching up with this thread, it's ace to see some love for waxed cotton and canvas. I'm always in waxed cotton (because Britain), and one of these days I'll get round to sharing some pics.
Just a peek of this Beauty. more on this one too. Vintage or Reproduction?
That's one really beautiful jacket.
I always wonder if you wear all of your jacket sleeves unbuttoned and what's the reason behind it.
I do. its easier to get my paws in and out and in my opinion it just looks cool.
I couldn't do it. It would annoy me so much to see them unbuttoned and feel my wrist lose.
Yeah I wear all my leathers that way. Always keep the zip cuff open to. Unless I'm on a really cold ride. Most of the time I can't get the zip closed all the way anyway...
Ditto. Well, I don't have any jackets with cuffs but the two that I wear the most have sleeve zippers that don't have the sleeve zip lined so they get pretty wide when unzipped. Sometimes for extra blasphemy, I roll up the sleeves only 'cause I can. I think that looks pretty stupid, though. XD
Simple Caban-jacket/peacoat, today.
aero sheene. it's been getting steady wear since october. i'll update my original purchase post with photos this week. i think it's wearing in quite nicely.
Cold, windy day on the battlefield. Manassas, Virginia. My Schott 141.
Solid tweedcoat, today.
Pouring day, perfect for my Lost Worlds Test to having some water, Stuart said they are thirsty
Walked the dog in my new Flathead moto jacket. (Didn't realize my scarf was hanging out so much...)
today I collected my jacket back from adding an extra line of stitches along the main zipper flap, I prefer non visible stitches as far as it can be done, but apparently after the leather has soften a bit, and how the jacket fit, lately the main zipper was getting exposed and leaving unsightly roll at the edges, so I asked for an extra line of stitches through the zipper tape to make it really strong, it is a compromise but now it will faithfully cover the main zipper all the time, they pick a very stealthy thread color it is almost invisible, I also ordered a glasses soft pouch to be worn on the belt from my sketch, and they didn't charge me for the jacket fix, so I'm a happy guy right now.
translation of what I typed there " exposed stitching, charred (antiqued brass) snap"
Black cotton/poly-Gabardine winterjacket, today. Nice and warm.
