I use Smashbox Photo Finish, but it isn't my favorite. It can have a slightly greasy feel, and the 'cones in it causes me to break out *every* time I use it, even if I only wear it for a day. It seems to work great for everyone else, and it does make my makeup last nicely, but I just don't find it to be the best for me.

My favorite primer is actually a drugstore find - L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base. It is oil free and gives a completely matte finish. It is a thick pink cream and comes in a small jar, but it lasts forever because you need so little. I use about a very small pea-sized amount for my whole face. I haven't used Photo Finish since I found this last year.

I'm usually a real snob about drugstore make-up...

I used to be a drugstore makeup snob, too. Then I started couponing. lol I've gotten so much makeup for free or less than .50 cents per item I have a hard time justifying actually paying full price for cosmetics anymore, although I do still find myself "needing" something from Sephora fairly often. lol

I've seen the TLC show on people who coupon. I admire you! I would not have the patience, though I would adore the savings.

Oh, I'm not like the TLC people!! I don't spend hours clipping and 3 hours in the checkout line, I don't have the patience for that! lol I also don't have a grocery store with 75 bottles of mustard hidden in my garage. That show is nuts and gives 'regular' couponers a bad name!

I get my coupons from a free paper they throw to our house on Saturdays, and from my 2 neighbors that don't want their copies, then I spend maybe 30 minutes clipping on Sunday afternoon. I do keep a binder to keep them all organized, and I do get things free/super cheap quite often, but I have never spent more than 10-15 minutes in a checkout line. I go to the store maybe 1-2 times per week on my way home, so I'm not making a bunch of extra trips all over town. I send all my expired coupons & the ones I will never use (baby items etc) overseas to military bases. Mostly I use coupons for health/beauty stuff and things like laundry & dish soap and cleaning supplies. Food is hit or miss, because we don't eat a lot of hamburger helper type stuff. I was a very frugal shopper before, but once I started couponing I probably cut our bill by 75%.

I think my best savings to date was about $65 worth of cosmetics at Walgreens, for which I paid .62 out of pocket and got back a $3 register reward. lol

Back on topic...

Today I went by MAC to check out their new Style Driven line, and I tried on the pro longwear lipglass in Driven by Love. The artist told me it would last for 7 hours, which is pretty impressive for a gloss. It was a bit troublesome to apply, but doggone if it isn't staying on!

I drank coffee, and no smear. I mashed my coat into my face getting out of my car, and it was unaffected. I didn't have a human handy to kiss, so I smooched my cat's face, and it stayed on! Whaddya know? :D It's not a powerful red, but it's quite lovely, and feels totally normal:

We'll see how difficult it is to take off, but so far, it's very choice. If you happen by MAC, I highly recommend trying it out.

Funnily enough, I'm totally not a gloss person either, I just liked the colour. It's not any more sticky than a lot of glosses out there - Your hair may stick to it, but it will come out easily.

Is it a cherry red kind of coiour? It looks lovely on you btw. I don't mind a gloss myself. Although i tend to wear a nude-ish gloss (gasp, i know letting the side down...), when i can't be bothered to do red lips.

I love your hair bow, you are cuteness personified!

Thank you very much sweetheart! :)

It doesn't show up as well in the photo for some odd reason. It's a true, blue based red - For once, it looks exactly like it does on the website. A lot like the colour of my bow. ;)

Really? It didn't photograph like that colour at all. Funny how that happens sometimes.

Today I'm wearing
Maybelline Dream mousse matte in classic ivory (this is my new fav drugstore brand, the colour is a good match to my skin tone & the coverage is excellent).
Auburn eyebrow pencil
Masacra &
Revlon lippy, it's a brown colour I can't remember the exact name.
