You're probably closer to the Oregan pass.

Last night I hit up a local Mexican place for seis de Mayo and had what they call Cancun nachos. They were topped with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, and bacon. A pretty satisfying meal, especially when washed down with a few icy cold Modelos from the tap.

Green salad with grilled chicken, bacon, English cucumber, grape tomato, cheese (white cheddar, smoked cheddar, sharp cheddar - used up end bits of several kinds), perfect avocado, baked cheese crisps, Caesar croutons. Homemade Ranch dressing. Buttered roll (shared with Lily).

Spaghetti (homemade sauce) & cucumber-tomato salad with Ranch & bacon. (Forgot lettuce at the store, so not a true "green" salad.)

Tonight I am making a homemade pizza. I made the dough this morning and let it rise all day. I can't wait to make this. I use fresh mozzarella and homemade sauce as well. For toppings I was thinking of going a little out of the box and use roasted red peppers with prosciutto. I am also going to make a fresh arugula salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I will enjoy it while sipping on a nice glass of wine and eating outdoors.

    Vol au vent.

A traditional French/Belgian dish made with chicken, meatballs and mushrooms in a thick cream/flour sauce served in a puff party shell (think biscuits and gravy). Not as hard to make as you would think.

In former GDR, the people invented ground-meat pizza, with spicing and onions and so on. ;) But, I can't tell you a standard-recipe.
