Yes! Bacon finally graced your home. I bought a BIG pack of Black Forest Bacon yesterday. I have no idea what it is but it was bacon so.....

I know that Black Forest Ham is good stuff so I would expect the same of the bacon.

I was in a 60s sort of mood today, so I decided that my dinner would be appropriately-themed: Chicken à la King served over buttermilk biscuits, and an ambrosia salad for dessert. What I thought was going to be nothing more than an enjoyable novelty turned out to be one of the best meals I've made/eaten in a very long time!

Also, this is my first post on the forum, so hello all! It's a pleasure to be here and I look forward to talking with all of you-- cheers.

The ambrosia salad in all its tacky mid-century glory.

30 years was what I was thinking as well. Filet Mignon and bacon is a union made in heaven.
