What's up with Jack's hats?

When Jack Abramoff first splashed into the news you often saw him photographed with a rather snappy looking fedora - or no hat at all. Now he seems to sport these silly looking baseball caps in every picture. He's a sharp dresser - albeit a bit too Euro for my tastes - but he looks awfully silly in the baseball caps. Bad haircut, maybe?

Not that I want to be in a position of defending Mr. Abramoff, but the media did to him what many ignorant passersby have done to us; he became the weird guy in the hat. Of course, he made the unfortunate choice of wearing a black hat :eusa_doh: and so he became the archetypal evildoer in the black hat.

Even worse, he became the guy in the BLACK hat. And in practically every mobster and cowboy flick, the black hat is worn by the bad guy. (Hopalong Cassidy and The Virginian excepted.)

I still stand by baseball caps as good headwear, too.
