Being born and raised in Kansas we were always taught to never ask where a man was born. If a man is Kansas born he'll soon tell ya and if he's not, well there is no need to embarrass him.;) :)

Down by the banks - of the O-hi-o.

I'm by the banks (top of the open part of the horseshoe in a horseshoe bend, anyway) of the Sci-o-to. :D

Just across the highway, a few feet from the mail box, is a ditch that used to be the Ohio-Erie Canal.

Cheers,
Tom

Illinois here. I always thought we were in the midwest, but I see above we might be mideast, as in east of the Mississippi river.

I live in between a semi-urban college town and a very rural N. Carolina County, and I've yet to see anybody else wearing a serious hat. Some of the older dudes wear flat caps, and there are even fewer hipsters wearing shrunken wool trilbys, and in a sea of ball caps and bare heads, I feel quite out of place in my Federation IV and spectator shoes.

But then I don't really give a damn about fitting in.

Here's our top 10 list of cities visiting our web site:

1. New York
2. Merrimack & North Conway, NH
3. Los Angeles
4. Chicago
5. Houston
6. San Francisco
7. London
8. Washington DC
9. Dallas
10. Atlanta

Los Angeles? That's a puzzler to me. But I guess to some degree it's a numbers game. There are like 16 million people out here. I rarely see any in a nice fedora. Lots 'o stingy brim and flat cap types tho.

Way to bundle all of Europe (and Asia)under a single point! :eusa_doh:

Anyway, one of the Europeans here, more precisely North-European, which is WAY different from South-Europeans, let me tell you...

Come to think of it, how come Canada is bundled with central americas?

Texas (by way of Virginia), the great southwest. So I guess that South fits. You know what they say in Texas. "I wasn't born here but I got here as fast as I could".

Europe strictly speaking but as any self-respecting Brit will tell you, Britain isn't really in Europe... :D

If your world geography was learnt from the British newspapers, the USA would be a big place 10 miles west of Ireland, while Europe would be the equivalent of where Australia is, the other side of the world. lol

N. :)

I'm new here, lurking & enjoying the banter. Throw my vote into the NE by geography, but NorCal by aspiration.
