Which sailing winter jacket look for?

Rapha do a Tweed softshell jacket for cyclists. What you need to do is convince someone like Musto to do a range of sailing wear in that fabric.

There used to be a company in Scotland called Slioch that produced bespoke Gore Tex mountain clothing. If they were still open then you might have been able to persuade them to copy a vintage sailing jacket in modern materials.

Cioch offer a similar service, but I'm not sure if the Nikwax Analogy fabric would be suitable for offshore use.

If by SASS you're referring to Special Air Sea Services then it's worth pointing out that they make a lot of their products up to order, in much the same way that our friends at Aero do.

As a suggestion, why not source a few metres of Ventile, and see if they'll run up a smock from your own fabric?

On Hiatus. Really. Or Not.
Photos taken yesterday. First sail of the season!! (We sail from Annapolis Landing Marina, Annapolis, MD.)

Not vintage (as mentioned before), but a great jacket nonetheless:
