Perry's pork pie

In the first season of Perry Mason 1957-58, Perry appears in a few with a great pork pie fedora fairly wide brim.

(Both Lt Tragg and DA Berger appear in fedoras but tragg has a diverse collection in the first season.):eusa_clap

I've been somewhat intrigued by Akubra's variation on the porkpie, the Pastoralist:

It seems pretty different from most of their "country hats", and I think it would look kinda snazzy with the brim turned up in back... Have any Australian hepcats here ever tried this?
I had one for a bit. Lost it in Tokyo Bay. Liked it a lot, but I kept the brim flat.

Sheridan in a pork pie!

I'd seen that pic, too!

And although I don't have a clue about the vendor/maker/material/quality...

...this replica of the Sheridan 'pie'

is/was available here...?! It's such an unusual "do" on a porkpie that I'm actually tempted to call them. :arated: It'd make a super car hat!

I have bought a couple of hats from them. They seem to be quite agreable. The hats tend to be on the heavy/thick side so just keep that in mind.
