I'll have to take a look...

While I am planning on teaching upper levels of education, I still have all of these ideas for younger children. One I had was to have a rationing day, where the kids eat typical rationed food recipes (and trade in rationing coupons for the food), discuss a week's typical ration, talk about how children were part of the "home front" (victory gardening, truck gardens, canning) etc. During the 'banquet', I would play Ration Blues, Don't Ration My Love, There's No Shortage of Love, You Can't Get that No More, etc.

Sometimes, I wonder if I should teach a bit younger. One of my mentors is a former teacher. Her 7th grade projects sounds so fun!

These sound like such great ideas!

I always wanted to teach at a university or college because I didn't think I'd have the patience with the younger set. lol
