WWII Naval Prison Hat

thought you guys might like to see this one...

A U.S. Naval Prison made hat... from 1944.

It's made of heavy wool tweed and still has it's tag on.

Not sure how you wear it?

This is very unusual. I doubt many reenactors will be clamoring for repros either.

Heavy wool hat suggests it might have gotten a bit chilly in Portsmouth Prison in those days.

Interesting that they label it for a "prison" and not a ''brig".
