The finale of SHIELD. Normally I wouldn't get all het up over a television show, but the plot, the action, the twists, the resolution, and even the teaser were astounding; story-telling with punch and flair

Fess up, you haven't started watching "Boardwalk Empire" from the beginning again - have you? :)
Nope. We haven't got to that point yet. Only one episode left and then we have to make that decision. Fortunately, we will have Peaky Blinders very soon as well as Hell on Wheels to help us make it through the dark times of withdrawals.
:D

Got to the end of Sons of Anarchy; great stuff. Ending did not disappoint. Over the last few days, we binged on Series 5 of Game of Thrones; we'll have to wait until next Spring for Series 6. Now we're onto Peaky Blinders series 3; we already despise the Russian Whites! Marvellously written, looks wonderful as ever.

Series finale of "Mr Selfridge." Man I'm glad it's over, now I don't have to watch it anymore. I was hooked just enough to watch, but it deteriorated to the point that I wasn't enjoying it.

Janis Joplin Little Blue girl. (I like that Joplin is noticed by Firefox spellcheck). I'm not much of a fan of blues, at least not the white, rocked out versions of it. I tend to like the derivatives a lot more. So, I've never been much into Joplin, and I have to say that the media has given a very different impression of her than this documentary revealed. That's sad in itself. She appears to have been a beautiful, sweet, extremely tortured person. The way people picked on her and bullied her made me angry. That fraternity newspaper prank was beyond disgusting. I hope every single person involved in that, and anyone else who does something similar to people, have a special place in hell waiting for them (not that I believe in hell, but you know). As sad as the doc was, there was also a great brightness to it. Cool woman.

Game of Thrones. Another good episode. The writing continues to vibe like a group of sub-average intellect high school jocks wrote the dialogue. I'm told they're trying to be funnier this season. Question: WHY? Did some ticker tape bean counter tell them they could get another .00023 viewership if they threw in some dumbed-down humor? Cringeworthy.

The Americans. Continues to rock solidly.

The Night Manager. Finale. Glad that's over. Again, not one believable relationship. Not one believable situation. Everything was either awkward and forced or so outlandish that I couldn't buy into it. And there was zero chemistry between the actors in the love interest. Sell it to me. I want to be sold on it. That's why I'm watching. Utter failure.

Turn. I like this series, but boy is it ever simple.
