I was recently asked, "What is your guilty pleasure".
I'd have to say, listening to hair bands. It is the music of my youth.
Always loved this one.

That's a can of worms right there Harv!
I was blessed to be of the generation of the spice girls and the backstreet equivalent. Yuck.

No worries. I'm not torturing y'all.

Now this is from the first CD I ever bought myself. And it's still one of my favourites.

Saw this guy in a small bar in Tullahoma, TN in the late 70's or early 80's. Did that shuffle step on an amplified piece of plywood through every song, no matter the instrument he was playing. R.I.P.

Hair bands get a bad rap. Some good stuff came out of that era. However, to balance, here's some commentary

Got the chance to see him a few times. Very good performer.

All Bob Dylan & related stuff all of the time. Yippee.

Funny Bob Dylan story: I had never heard his version of "House of the Rising Sun" until it came on XM the other day. Now, I've heard many versions but, like most, the one in my head is the Animals version (apologies to Frigid Pink). There were always a couple of words in there I knew I was not hearing correctly. Bob did such a good job with enunciation during his rendition, I finally sorted it out.

Who'da thunk it?

That's a story bordering on the miraculous.

He used to play Cincinnati whenever they held Tall Stack (riverboat) celebrations. Unfortunately, both have passed.
