Carhartt has some good product placement in the new movie Manchester by the Sea:

I noticed that too. But it fits the locale...Carhartt is actually showing in a lot of places where they are trying to get the "rust belt" or "blue collar" American look. Why not, it's great stuff for the money, and lasts forever...I see old, beat up items on eBay that often get bid up due to the "look" as new ones are cheaper.
I've got a bit of it here, and it's very good stuff, it not "stylish" in the modern sense...

MY ELC RW B-3 came out for the first time this morning. Marvelous. I mean, really. It was a windchill of -21C this morning and it shrugged off the cold wind with aplomb.
The ELC RW B-6 had done very well thus far these many weeks ... but the B-3 is just another league up. And with a nice C-3 beneath it, it's a superb combo.
And may I say, happiness is a nice C-3 fitting warmly and snugly against your back in a cold car seat on a frigid winter morning.

Columbia micro-down "puffy" jacket today - -6F at start-up but will be warming up to 15F by this evening. May even pull out a leather again tomorrow :)

My Aero Brown FQVTC Horsehide with the optional full 25MM shearling lining. It kept me nice and warm. The wind chill is around 8-9 degrees here now.

Just throw it somewhere on the ground and kick it in the nearest corner of the room. The jacket will appreciate it. :)
Exactly. No need for a hanger for a leather jacket. Thrown on the floor is good enough. I hope Mark didn't leave his jacket in the car in plain view. Otherwise someone else will be enjoying that jacket tonight.

Today with a high of 30, it is ThunderBay weather for me.

Wore my brand new Army Green Baracuta Modular G9, with the vest/liner zipped in. Perfect for a cool day with impending rain. But ended up not needing to test it's water repellency :)

It was MINUS 8 here this morning so... out came my Viet Nam era Southern Athletic N-3B Parka and B-5 cap. At least the wind died down.

Can never get the snorkel hood quite right.... any tips? It ain't very "stylish" but form over function I say, particularly when it's below zero.

Worf

Love that cap. Looks warm. Lord knows we need it.
