If you spend a lotta time in the great outdoors, squattin' comes natural. However, squatting indoors can have some serious side effects.

I think I saw this guy once before. He was asking about his precious.

BB -- Is the ribbon dark green? 5-cord? Was it original or did you change it? I like how it all works together & the colors really looks good in that pic.

Hey, Jack. It's a 6 cord black that measures right at 5/8" and is original to the hat. The hat is such a dark green that the ribbon is hard to distinguish except in just the right light. Have never been in the market for a green hat, much less a western but I am really enjoying this one. One of the best purchases I've made in awhile. Hats off to you for bringing it to my attention.

I like it a lot too; did when I first saw it. And being a Portis it has to be a rare piece & in such excellent shape. Glad it all worked out & you like it!

How cool! Much better with the ribbon. I just YUCK those feather bands.
A baby blue Resistol in 7 1/4 had appeared on ebay once. I lost it.

Thanks all!
Joao, the colorful hats are making a come back. A newer maker, Warbonnet Hat works out of Decatur,Texas makes some really cool colors.
I️ like these older ones however, many of them sat in boxes all this time.

Picked this hat up on Ebay while back. Left photo is what it looked like when I bought it and right is after. Stetson probably from the '80s , nice 4X Beaver. Paid $29.00. I'm pretty happy with that deal.

Excellent work, you wouldn't know it was the same hat. I like the more old West look you have given it.

I think the colorful" hats are for something like a event, not to wear "all year".
But still I like them. Still looking for a flaming red Stagecoach :)
