The first of my opening bid ($9.99) hats arrived. Resistol X-Double-X "Cross Plains". Back when XX was fur felt. 5-3/4” crown, 3” brim. The feather is long gone...

Guessing the hat is from the 1960s/70s. The store has been around since 1928.

What a great score Bob! I think the dimensions are perfect. I have a couple 2xs and they are very nice felt, all fur. Congratulations!

I received my 1950's Stetson 3X today. Applied a little steam and it is shaping up well. 5" at the crease with 3.5" brim. Embroidered liner.

Impressive! The script below the Stetson logo on the sweat is of interest. Have not noticed that type before. Really cool!
