Hi folks! I'm putting together a modest home bar and, being a traditionalist to the core, I picked up a '60s or '70s vintage Soda King seltzer siphon to go with it (I'll drink my whiskey neat before I make a highball with seltzer from a disposable bottle, thank-you-very-much!). :-)
I filled...
I've gone through quite a few pairs of western boots and various styles of lace-up work boots. I've found Durango products to be the best boot for the money.
I have a pair of Durango motorcycle boots that I've had for five or six years and they've worn like iron. I also have a pair of...
My dad picked up this nice old Dobbs fedora for me at a flea market, but unfortunately it's a 7 and I wear a 7 1/4. To eBay it goes!
I put a starting price of just $0.95 on it.

My fedoras have teardrop or diamond crowns, and my western hat has a pinched telescope. I never feel like center dent / creased crowns or cattleman crowns look right on me.
For me, it's a combination of what I admire other people wearing and what fits me personally. For the fedoras, I feel...
I have an Art of Shaving brush and a vintage Ever-Ready brush, both badger hair. The Art of Shaving brush is softer and works well with creams, the Ever-Ready is more stiff and works well with soaps.
If I had to choose, I probably prefer the Ever-Ready.
The AoS set me back about $20...

I picked this one up at a rummage sale for $1. I'd call that a good buy.
Would "Society Club" be a brand or model name? Either way I hadn't heard of it before.
For the wetshavers in the Lounge, I have a particularly nice 1962 vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable up on eBay.
Starting bid is a low $9.95

I have an Akubra digger hat up on eBay now.
It was going for cheap, so I bid on it even though it's a 7 1/8 and I usually wear a 7 1/4. Well, I got it and found that it is indeed too small for me (fits true to its 1/8 marking) and that the brim looked way too wide on me. Rather than...
I don't know about boaters. With fedoras, I personally like them to sit just above my ears. Some people like them to sit higher, but I don't care for that look on me.
Like many things, a lot of it is just personal preference.
Thanks for the info and the positive comments on the hat!
I checked behind the sweatband and didn't see anything inticating the model. There was a damaged sticker that read "(illegible. . .) 1/8." Maybe it originally said the model and size.
I have this very pretty, but moth-bit Adam fedora on eBay. I wear a 7 1/4, so this 7 1/8 hat sits a little bit higher than I like (and refuses to stay stretched more than a few hours).
The minimum bid is a little steep, but I don't want to part with it for less than that. If anybody is...
