Agree, crocodile IMO is only suitable in small doses like for belts, wallets and some shoe styles.
I admire the vast majority of JL's creations, but that thing is genuinely hideous (I'm confident the customer dictated that abomination).

That's the tricky bit about doing all out custom... Whatever you put out represents the business whether you like it or no.

I thinks that they did not have enough hides for the job, that's what happens when you have to use every single bit of skin left.

I don't think there is much usable hide on a crocodile. Perhaps only the belly and legs from a small young beast. The knobbly armoured hide from the back of a crocodile can be more than a couple of inches thick depending on size of the beast. I have seen many monsters over 15 feet long in rivers in northern Australia and I doubt that any part of their hides would be usable for clothing. Just too thick, scaly and tough.
Yes, as far as I understand, only the belly really. So you need a lot of hides to avoid results such as this one

I used to have a pair of baseball cleats made from kangaroo leather. At the time they were considered the best as the roo hide was so tough yet so light compared to cowhide.I've been interested in kangaroo skin, apparently most of the skins are being bought by China to make balls for football, basket ball, etc... I will definitely check it out
