Hello, my fellow hat people. It's been a while since my last post, I'm back.
I'm planning to store my over 70 or so fedora hats in my garage, where temperatures during summer can reach 100 degrees. Would my hats be OK there? My wife is threatening to throw me out of the house if I can't find a...
Can anyone tell me what type of hat Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) is wearing? I would like to get one; but, where? What's it called?
Thanks to all

As I use a hat everyday, I have many, about 20. Some in boxes, others on the wall and still others on a hat tree. Many are under $100.
My hat size is 7 and 1/8. Some are labeled Small and they fit, others are labeled Medium and don't fit (too large or too tight).
Regardless of labeled...
I recently saw a hat that had a ridge down the middle of the crown from front to back. Not a crease or a dent, but a small ridge about the size of a pencil, maybe smaller. Anyway, can't remember what it's called. The style, type. Any guesses, thanks for jarring my memory. Must be getting old...
I often find cheap hats at various outlet stores. Many are stylish and LOOK good on me. Most under $20 and I'll pick one or two up.
The problem is these hats usually run in S, M, L only. S is too small. L is too large and the Medium is, well, just a tad too large. Has anyone run into this...
Borsalino 100% Genuine Beaver Fedora Stingy, The Ultimo
Just came across one of these while surfing the net. $725. Does anyone in this forum own one of these and what's your take?! I think it is a really nice lid, but, way out of my financial range.
Also, what would a custom made fedora...
What determines a "Vintage" Fedora. I understand they are better made and higher quality than new modern ones. How can I tell if a hat is truly vintage.
How old it is? A particular date or era? I would like to seek them out, but, what do I look for and what should I know and understand before...
...more about welting. I've seen hats with underwelt and overwelt, some have welting others to not.
Other than stylistic considerations, is their a more fundamental reason for welting? Which do you prefer? Welt or no welt, underwelt or overwelt.
Why? you may ask; welt, just curious!

Bought my first Fedora three years ago (Biltmore), have had many compliments over this time and its been a love affair ever since. Recently, I bought my second one (Christy), this may be the start of a collection I'm afraid.
I've been reading the forum here and find it quite interesting and a...
