Looking for some glasses that are like an old fashioned glass with straight sides but will have a raised area about 3/4 way up the glass, presumably to help keep the glass from slipping in ones hand. These were commonly used as water glasses in restaurants, cafes and diners back in the day...
My wife works at Disneyland Resort and she says that there will be a fedora store in the art deco area of Calfornia Adventure. She will keep on the lookout for the store and when it is opening and I will let everyone know. I will definitely have to check it out.
After doing an exhaustive search I still can't find the post that showed how to make a pugaree with hooks. I had the link saved on my old computer but it crashed. Can someone post the link so I can sleep tonight??
Thanks much!
This is one of the best examples of a Westlite that I have ever encountered. I have just listed it on ebay. I would post a link but I have no idea how to do that. The color of the felt in the pictures is very accurate.
This is a magnificent Knox in a 7-1/4 Long Oval that I have just listed on Ebay. I'd post a link but I have no idea how to do that. The best, smoothest felt I have ever handled. The pictures show the color very accurately.
when working on one of my hats the size tag fell off and where you can't see it when attached to the sweat was the word BLEND. I have not seen this before. I'm assuming it means a blend of fur, rabbit, beaver, or? Anyone else seen this?
Thought this might be of passing interest to some of you. I got some car parts in a cardboard bos that had this label on it. The box as well was marked with large advertising of the hat vendor and address.
Here are several books that I have had for some time and need to pass along. Most are hard back except for the two spitfire books at the right in the top row and the far right spitfire book in the middle row. I'll let these go for $75 with shipping included to the lower 48.
Attached is a picture of a hat that has a trolley I have not encountered until I got this hat. The Button is sewn to the hat and the cord is too long to take up any slack. My best guess is that in the past, someone sewed the button to the hat, abrogating the original configuration. However, I...
Great hat, vitually new and unworn. Color is pretty accurate and appears to be no fading of the color. Brim is 2-3/4"http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290374006565&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
Hope this works, haven't tried to add a link as yet.
FYI...I ordered a bluegrass green CD yesterday in a size 58 from Everything Australian and according to their website, virtually all Akubras have a 3 month wait so I was emotionally prepared. However, I received an email from them this morning to say it has been shipped! So apparently they do...
I will undoubtedly receive major flak for asking this but is there a tutorial for adding pictures to a post? If not here then on some other similar forum that uses the same format for posting pictures that the FL does?[huh]
Has anyone purchased one of these and how do you like it? I've been looking at one from a dealer in Portland and am inching ever so closer to pulling the trigger. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Just received a silver belly CD that is, in my opinion, not even close to the Stetson silver belly. It is tan and the shade is much darker than an equivalent silver belly. The hat is great looking in of itself but I was really looking forward to the very light grey typical of silver belly's. I'm...
I have an old Whippet that has some staining? on the hat band and was wondering how to clean it. It may just be some water marking. Do you think woolite would work?, or?
Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions,etc.
