just found this thread after my hiatus, folks...EXCELLENT idea. I vote for the classic diagonal stripe design with an offset logo (unless that's been thrown out already) Colors can go either way, but the less black the better IMHO...

Nice idear. Like Cobdens design and colours!
It's just that I hardley never ever wears a tie.
But if we could get it as a cravat or silkscarf too...:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap THAT would be just dandy!

Black with a wide red stripe and a yellow pinstripe down the middle of the red.

What do you think of this, Matt?

The dark grey circles would be subtly woven into the silk background and not printed. This, of course, could be done on one of the other designs as well... just thought I'd kill two birds with one stone on this sample.

Kind regards,
Indy

Just the hat, not the whole medallion...too much detail in that medallion!

and for the cufflinks, again, just the silver hat with a bar a chain.

less is more, less is more. IMHO.

I agree with Griffer, less is more. I like the medallion as a pin and such but not the whole thing on a tie unless it appears only once at the bottom or something. Just my opinion.

I like that one best. I'll buy one either way though.

Not bad at least we are moving in a more vintage direction. The subtle pattern looks pretty good. Could it go through the stripes as well or just along the stripes?
Like it does through these stripes:

Too many logos for me now. I liked just the stripes with one logo.
Mr. Powers, Stop showing that hideous wrinkled grey, pink and blue jalopy!!lol

This should foot the bill, J.M. Stovall.
One of my designs, it has the stripes with just one logo.

Exactly, men never dress for the approval of women. Ever. Never, ever.

But, for the record, the lady likes it simple and clean.

The lady has better taste than some of the gents who've commented here.

In that case, I revoke my humility and replace it with "listen to me, I have good taste and I'm the one who matters anyway" lol

You need your screen adjusted. :eusa_doh: The tie is shades of brown and the stripes are blue and a shade of brown.
It is also fresh from the drycleaner so it is very flat. :p
Gee, a little prejudice about your own design? :p
