Portland Antique show find, another Blue gray fedora. This makes the 5th blue hat I've found at the show over the years. It's in almost unworn condition. The last 2 pics show the color the best. I found the hat box at the show as well. To bad there wasn't a hat in it.

Big and Bold Baby!

I finally got ahold of a fairly straight crowned bold look hat,

it's a Dobb's 5th Ave. Fifteen, the Dobb's logo is the one with the carriage, but try as I like I cannot find here what era that indicates.

Here's some photos, excuse the t-shirt, I had just returned from the gym to find this gem waiting on my doorstep. The felt is butter soft, and the bash is by hand which took about 30 seconds. I love this fedora, I think it is the finest one I own.

I really like the color, which I think is fairly close to a confederate gray, or buttermilk-ish.

A five inch rake.

Again, t-shirt, disregard.

The next show is the end of October. It will be a lot smaller as the fall and spring shows are all inside. The summer one is outside and is a lot more fun. We were there from 9 AM to 4 PM and my back is still aching from all the walking. I don't think I'd drive 11 hours for it but that's just me.
There was a MINT Stetson Whippet there with the original box. It had to be unworn. Gorgeous tan color, but alas, super small, a 6 3/4ths. I was tempted to buy and resell it, but it was so small I didn't want to take the gamble I could move it. A couple of nice Open Roads though.

Knock me down with a feather! That is a darn SHARP hat! Wow. Wow! WOW!

Your hat and the recent Art Fawcett's hats of similar inspiration are just plain eye catching. The contrast in textures, different materials, the colors are so visually intriging.

Wear it often and enjoy such a fine hats sir! One last time...WOW!

Best, Eric -

Knox straw bowler

A puzzling hat. Constructed like a straw boater, but with a domed crown. Ribbon bow on the opposite side - Donna didn't think a woman's hat would have the size tag in this manner. Era unknown. Nicely made in excellent condition.
