Pre 1940s dress hats

Here's a Crofut & Knapp fedora being sold on eBay as a 1920's to 1930's Cavanagh Edge hat, size 7, for about $225, if anyone is interested. It appears to be a velour. I'd have grabbed it if it was my size

The liner imprint in this private label for Rogers Peet takes my breath away. I browsed the store with my Dad when I worked down the street at the NY Public Library… fifty years ago.

I believe based on the union label this is mid-1930s or earlier. 2 ⅛” inch bound brim and the open crown is approximately 5 ¾ inches.
