Hello,
I just purchased an ivory silk hat that is stunning... and in excellent condition except for some dents across the front. I have looked around online for how to fix it, but I keep coming across the same article copied over and over. It seems that the article is referring to straw or felt hats - not silk... but it recommends steam.
What is the best way to fix the hat, or should I leave well enough alone and be happy with what I have?
The dents aren't horrible, but they are definitely noticeable, and because they are across the top, may be viewable in some photos.
Thoughts? I'll try to get some pictures for reference tomorrow in the sun.
