Drappa I was going to pick a favorite but I love them all. The skirt is sooooo cute! Love the fabric! I am such a sucker for a border print. :D

Lizzie I love your dress. So stylish! :)

Drappa, I love all your dresses. But my favorite, if I had to pick one, is the one with the little flowers in the autumn colors- rust, gold, green, etc. :) It reminds me of an apron my mother had when I was a little girl, right down to the "rick rack."

Simple gathered skirt with poppy print (I was going to make a matching bodice for a dress, but it was a bit much)

I love this fabric! May I ask where you bought it?

It's Michael Miller cotton and the fabric is called "Poppy Field". I got it on Ebay, it was an end of bolt remnant and it's a few years old. There's another print by him with Tuscan hills or so and it's quite lovely, too.

I'd say you were on a mission, Drappa! I like your choice of trims, the contrast dot on the cherries and the rickrack. Do you have a sky blue cardigan to go with that fab skirt?

Thank you! No I don't, so far I wear it with white blouses or tops, but if I see a blue cardigan I like I'll get one.

I don't post much around here (something I need to change!) but I've been reading regularly for about 10 months now, and thought I'd post some of my latest vintage creations . . .

The instructions on the 30s pattern are pretty limited - I've only seen 1-2 VPLL patterns with less! Everything went together perfectly, though. When I make it again, though, I'm pretty sure I'm going to take the back gore (which is centered on the center back) and split it and install a back zipper instead of a side zipper, which by merit of the four gored skirt stops at the waist. The skirt is definitely a classic skirt from the 30s - VERY long. I took four inches off of the day dress skirt length and it still feels long-ish to me.
