Hot sticks last night:

(I felt pretty happy with the results so I think that's why I was staring down the camera trying to intimidate it into documenting properly)

As always I greatly enjoy your hair. And I tried your setting saturday night, and while it wasn't exactly like yours, but I loved how it worked, thanks so much for showing me your pattern.

I finally managed to buy a lead for my camera so I can upload photos now yay! Anyway here's a picture of my hair. I've been trying to emulate Rita Hayworth hair a lot and I think this is the closest I've got. It involved a mixture of pin curls, barrel curls and rollers. Rita's hair seems really difficult to copy. Has anyone successfully managed it?

Ohhhhhhh... you're so so so pretty!

*Blush* thanks, I do have a ton of make up on though.

Jasmine I did a little diagram thingy on paint so I can explain it better. After setting it I brushed it out, but not overly so it retained a bit more curl. I hope the diagram is vaguely useful.

I just adore your hair! Can you explain what a barrel curl is?

Thanks for the lovely comments! A barrel curl is essentially the same as a pin curl, except it stands up from your head. It kinda looks like you have rollers in, but there aren't any involved. I can't think of any other way to explain it. Hope that helps a bit.

Not sure if any guys have posted in this section (I may have I missed it), but I'll give it a go:

Here are two pics of how I generally wear my hair (basically my take on the 1950s Jelly Roll):

For a while, I was wearing a very long Pompadour-- which was also long in the back. I was approached by one of the Hawleywood's Barbers (makers of Layrite) and they asked me if they could take some reference photos, so that they could start cutting that style. Of course, I was obliging. Here's a photo of that style. You can see, near the right shoulder, that the back is long too:
