Nice Vic! Great liner tip, fantastic condition. Greenish gray? Wonder if it was made for "The" Donald? Nah, his taste isn't that good :)

Fantastic Borsalino!

BTW I received a reply back from my BEP engraver friend and he said he would need to look at them close up. I will bring them by when I have a chance.

Manfred, Thanks! I am still tweaking it.

Here is a comparison with a G.B.Borsalino Fu Lazzaro & C. from the same time period.

Those are a couple of beautiful bowlers, i've never seen many vintage Borsalino Bowlers but those are works of art

1950's. Color translates to Green Lizard. Beautiful Velour finish, but some unfortunate moth tracks.

Very nice, I guess suave extends to European hikers as well. Love the color names Borsalino comes up with to match their extensive palette.

Okay... I'm new here, but I just wanted to relate a Borsalino hat story: I lived in San Francisco for a while in the mid-80's and there was a small shop in North Beach that sold Borsalino's. I tried on a gorgeous cobalt-blue Borsalino and fell in love... but, alas, being quite skint at the time it was either eat or buy the hat. I regret the food choice to this day! I wonder if I could ever find a cobalt-blue Borsalino again?

On the bright side- I'm off to New York next weekend, so I'll be visiting J.J. Hat Center to check out their inventory... I might yet join the Borsalino Brotherhood!

Greetings, John, from another new member.

I can confirm the cobalt Borsalino is alive and well, and here, just down the street from my apartment, is where I bought it:
