Since my "dirt or polytrack" drove this thread into a ditch )), to revive it and because Lizzie's post on her new coveralls in the "Are Dresses Coming Back" thread gave me an idea, I'll answer my own question and then post a new one.

Dirt since the statistic on injuries don't seem to support polytrack's hype and since dirt is what nature provided for horses to run on.
