Finally a thread I can post in, since all my vintage suits are from the 1950s...

Some great suits already posted by you guys.

I've posted these in the British suits thread, but thought they would be good to show off in this thread as well:

1955 Anderson and Shepard 3 piece in Lovat Blue tweed. Easily the nicest suit I own. I need to take better photos of this one and put them in the tweed thread...

1954 Austin Reed 3 piece double breasted. Made in fabric that is similar to the striped fabric for morning dress trousers. The trousers and waistcoat on this one are my favorites and I've used them for modern tailors to recreate for me with some good results.

W. Evans and Sons (I think the label was cut away) bold look look/wide boy styled suit. Wonderful heavy blue fabric and the pattern is small squares with yellow/orange, and other colors. One of the only vintage suit that fit me with no alternations.

This has wonderful trousers...

These next two might be early 1960s rather than late 1950s but I'll post them anyways:

Burton heavy blue 3 button. Forgive the ham and cheese with this photo...

Scot Square de Lux suit, light weight blue/black striped fabric, sharp looking "Continental style" (or at least I like to think so...) that I picked up for a song...

Gents,

A few things I didn't snap pictures of - the pants have a watch pocket on the right front side, double pleats, and dropped belt loops. suspender buttons are sown inside the waistband. The trousers are secured by a simple snap button closure, and a zipper. Jacket is petal-lined, and it looks like the sleeves have been altered to accommodate the larger cuffs of modern shirts. All relevant jacket details are photo documented. Moved into this thread from "Show Us Your Suits" based on a recommendation from Enigma. His confident belief that the suit's from the early 50's is good enough for me!

Some of your might have seen the following thread in the vintage finds forum.

Well I got a couple of suits from the same estate sale. The measurements are almost perfect for me except the inseam being about 1 inch too small. But that is an easy fix, so I did some bidding battles to win more.

All nice 1950s by Hickey Freeman mostly for Saks. Quality made with lots of hand stiching, and similar features: slight roped shoulders, three buttons, forward/British pleats, suspender buttons and dropped belt loops, watch pocket, etc.

Early 1950s blue three piece made by HF for FR Tripler and Co.

The pockets are rather interesting on this one:
