Thanks for the nice notes on yesterday's Stetson!

Good start to the weekend guys. If I were putting aside dough for a whippet, I would cash it in and go Cross Country. That was a great Dobbs design... good to see it today, David.

Nice work, Simonds. Did you use grosgrain for the sweatband?

Alan, that 5X CB is the bee's knees. If you spot one in a 7.5, let me know, okay? ;)

David, I concur on the Dobbs. The ribbon width is perfect for the hat.

Perry, gtdean, enjoy the rain!

Borsalino Featherweight XX Nutria felt

A second hat from RLK... this is the softest and most luxurious of the featherweights I have had handled. From Salvatore Balbi's shop, marked on the custom liner.

Borsalino light weight (likely 30's)

Alan, those Italians look great on you! Was nice having them visit, but my head won't temporarily shrink.

Great looking Borso's, Alan & Robert!!!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Alan, did you do a little steaming and brim reshaping on that XX? It looks absolutely wonderful. The tall and straight crown looks perfect on you and that brim with the dip in the middle is just how I would have shaped that brim. Spectacular!!!!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Thank you Robert and Josh.

Josh, I did brush and steam it a bit, but the felt was in very good shape as received with a lovely brim flange. I just gave a small tug down on the front to wear it brim up. I do like to wear 'em that way.

It warmed up a bit and I spent time cutting up a limb that fell during a short storm Wednesday. My $2 thrift store cuenca which thanks to a local dry cleaner/hatter received a nice blocking, leather sweat and dark navy ribbon. It's been my daily hat for the last several weeks in the hottest summer so far in Kansas.

gdc, those were two dollars well spent! I like the OR, too: doing its job shading your auditory cartilage. :D

More brim than I'm used to seeing atop you, Josh, but it looks good.

You making fun of my dumbo ears??? I no longer like brims that don't keep them well shaded. This one is 3" and anything less than 2 1/2" looks really stingy.
