I think women look great in Bowlers. Apparently bowlers been showing up quite frequently in high fashion on women and men recently. Radiohead's lead singer is wearing one in their newest music video. Haven't seen any around Toronto, though, except at New Years and Nuite Blanche.

Women wearing bowlers on a regular basis was spurred on by the ***ual freedom and experimentation that existed in the 1920s. Men and women started experimenting with different clothes and such. Men tried lipstick, women wore suits and trousers, and so forth.

It brings to mind that old song from '26...

It's hard to tell'em apart today, and say,

Keira Knightly couldn't even be masculine in Bend it Like Beckham.

Come to think of it, not even in Domino, where she played a bounty hunter. Bad screenplay on this movie, really bad soundtrack, and really disjointed style (Tony Scott's follow up to Man on Fire). But a chance to see "more" of Keira Knightly.
