Here is one from this past Saturday (opening day of deer season in Georgia) with some vintage elements - the hat is an older Mallory, the jacket a 1950's or 60's Woolrich, the shirt is a modern Viyella and the Jeep is a 1953 Willys. Unfortunately, the ***** is modern - although I do have some neat vintage *****s, I could not trust them for the distances I was shooting - took this deer at 125 yards with the pictured Remington Model 700 in 7mm Mag (borrowed from Dad - I was carrying a much older Remington in 308).

Nice jacket! Is it based on one of those USN Summer Issue jackets you were looking for a while back?

I Guess that's how it ended up, yes. But really it's just an amalgam of different features from several work jackets that I wanted in one jacket. The back is nothing like the M421-A, though the front has a certain resemblance.

(but my pockets are big enough to be functional)
