I seem to have avoided any Indy comments since I've been wearing hats. I'm not entirely surprised, given my general appearance.

Last night my wife and I went out for a burger. I was wearing BGCD. An older man walked by and said smiling, "You look like Orson Wells in that hat." ORSON WELLS!!!! Wasn't he a rather rotund man? ...... wait a second, so am I. I think I'd rather be called Indy

I honestly don't care if people call me Indiana Jones. I like the guy, but I'll never be him. Though looking at previous posts, it's nice to see that Indy's outfit and gear wear common long before the movie ever came out. I think it was Mafia II that made me want to do the leather jacket/fedora combo. Not so much Indy. I like being called Indy if it's out of good fun. If there's an attitude behind it, then that's where it makes me upset. There were these group of kids at a park screaming "HEY! IT'S INDIANA JONES!" while I was wearing a pecan brown Jaxon C-Crown fedora (I can only afford starter hats at the moment). It was neat, I suppose. Until this one kid came up to me about an hour later saying "What's up Indiana Jones." I was wearing a brown speed jacket like what a person would wear on a motorcycle, a yellow button down shirt and semi-dark khakis. I smiled and laughed a bit, "That's Dr. Jones to you, kid." His response was a very sour "Whatever." and that put me in an off mood. I welcome being called Indy, but I don't welcome the attitude.. Most often, though, I'll find myself humming along Indy's song while at work or just trying to have fun.

I do, however, love the center dent bash on my fedoras... even if they are wool and labeled as pinch crown.

Had he said "ooh you look like Art Shell" or "Bo Bo Brazil" or "Chef" from South Park even I'da been fine. But Indiana Jones?

Was walking in to a grocery store one day and a lady standing by the front door looks up and sees me. I was wearing a dark brown Resistol that, granted is very Indiana-ish. She smiles at me real big and says "Hey there Indiana!" I looked at her and smiled back and said, "I prefer to be called Doctor Jones. My professional name." She busted up laughing and I never broke stride.
