Thank you for sharing these photos, Super! I really enjoy 'em and would love to see more. That lion looks positively ancient. Leopards are beautiful (what's that they're eating? hog?) and I was about to start whining about the lack of hyenas. Rhinos are awesome, too.

Its a water buck. I have a photo of the carcass up in the tree (leopards climb trees and often drag carcasses into trees to keep them out of reach of hyenas).

No sarcasm intended here, but can you explain how it is that you need additional leather to shorten a jacket? Perhaps I just don't understand the cut of the Imperial, but the idea just seems counterintuitive.

The GW Imperial has lower panels at the bottom of the front of the jacket that angle/drop from the sides towards the front middle. There is no way to re-cut thie existing front panels to eliminate the front drop. Thus, we have to remake the lower panels with new, matching leather. The panels will remain the same width, but will go straight across, rather than angling/dropping towards the front center. The chest panels directly above lower panels will be adjusted to accommodate the straight lower panels. Hope that makes sense.

After spending four days in the bush at the Sabi Sand game reserve in South Africa, we moved to Victoria Falls (Zambia and Zimbabwe) for the past two days. From ground level, Victoria Falls is truly spectacular. However, because it is so immense, and the falls pour into a gorge, it is impossible to view the breath and magnitude from any one point. Rather, from ground level, you can only view one section of the falls at a time. The only way to view the entire breadth and magnitude of Victoria Falls is from the air. Thus, after our morning viewing from ground level, we took to the sky for an afternoon viewing from a helicopter. The view of the falls from the helicopter was genuinely breathtaking. It was an epic experience.

Tomorrow, we return to the bush. In particular, we are going to the Okavango Delta in Botswana for five days.
