And yes, I’ve brushed and re-brushed it and gave it plenty of steam too. It’s just a floppy unruly longhair

Barbisio that came my way via a trade with Stefan @steur
It has dense thin felt and while it’s a bit smaller of brim than I normally prefer it’s a nice addition to my collection and my first Barbisio. Thank you Stefan!

I gave it a simple center dent crease and found the felt malleable and willing to take any shape.

Nice looking felt Brent. Stefan came through with some large ones for you. I'm happy that some of these made it over to this side of the pond.

I'm pretty sure I'd have been disappointed if a hat like that behaved the way you wanted it to instead of how it wants to; some horses just can't be broke. :D

Thoroughbred 10X. It is labeled as “Moleskin finish” but it doesn’t feel any different than my other westerns.

It came with a strange cushioned reducer adhesive strip behind the sweat. It is in good shape and the hat fits fine (it’s a 7 3/4) so I left it.

The indoor lighting really brings out the green in the felt. In actuality, the color is brown with green undertones...pecan ;)

Looks like great build quality. Went to bed to early and missed this one. It is very similar to my NW Hats 1942 Rose Bowl Hat. Love that pecan felt. Congratulations Brent.

First of four that arrived today. Dunn & Co. bowler in gray. I have been wanting a different colored stiff felt for a while now. Stefan found this one over there. It is a modern incarnation (unsure about the age) but quality is high. This one will need some stretching up to my size. There is no store logo on the sweat which looks new. I do love the lines of this one, tight curl and a substantial crown. Once it conforms to my noggin better, it will be getting some serious head time. I do wear my stiff felts on a regular basis.

Hat 2 (in no particular order, just processing images as I go). Lodenfrey Lord's Hat made by P&C Habig late 1950s/early 1960s. Felt on this one is incredible, soft and inky black. I still need to spend some quality time with the steamer on this one. The unbound edge in a shallow homburg curl is quite interesting. It is not quite a Homburg yet not quite a Lord's Hat. Just one cool black hat! Included are a couple of Stefan's images for better detail.

Number 3, even though summer is slipping away, a new straw graced my door. This Mayser Panama is going to be a hot day grab and go. Nice brim width, ventilation and a nice weave. The ribbon is what draws me to this Panama, too nice to hide under a pug. The sweat is cloth, which is quite comfortable, this one fits like a dream. It is going to be in the 80s next week, so it will see some sun before winter slumber.

The final hat is a Barbisio in Brera. No model name, kind of taper to the crown but wow! The felt is incredible on this one, kind of soft and floppy, but should hold shape with some steam. Looks like it wants a center dent, I'll try to coax a diamond into this crown. Wider brim at 2.5", crown just over 4 1/2" This hat like most Italians is kind of on the small side of 58cm, I have the hat under a little pressure to cure this. This one will be another grab and go due to it's lines and numbers.

Nice buy Red. Stefan is a great hat finder and one of my favourite hat pushers [emoji4]. Looking forward to receiving a hat consignment from him this coming week. Cudos to you for wearing your stiff felts (bowlers) outdoors. I get strange looks just wearing a Homburg. I'm going to go out and wear my Bowlers with pride this year.
