Another Eastman B3 Fit and questions part 2

Hey guys!
I got a b3 last week in size 44, that seemed to be a bit to big, to much in the middle area, excess in the back and long body and sleeves
You can see the pics for it here
https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/eastman-b3-fit-pics.95935/
No local dealer had it in size 42, so I got it directly from Eastman, it came out to be about the same price anyway.
The sleeves and body seems to be shorter and fit much better, but I have plenty of discomfort in the shoulder and elbow area that limits the range of movement.
Will this go away ? Will the jacket stretch a bit and be more comfortable as time passes, or should I change back to the bigger size ?
Pardon my unhappy appearance , as I have been wrapping buttload of presents for kids all day :)

This B-3 looks on you and fits you absolutely superb. No doubts.
Congrats!
Could you tell your height/weight/chest measurements please (if possible)?
I'm also thinking of B-3 between size 44 and 42 - so this info might help to choose correct size from Eastman, 'cause (I repeat) yours fits you very well!
Thanks in advance.

Great fit, much better than the 44.
Once it is broken in and the fleeces gets compacted a little it should feel more comfortable.

I think the fit looks good, but it bothers me that it is tight in the shoulders and the elbow. One thing I don't like in a jacket is a tight fit that restricts my movements. I think the elbows should loosen up with time, and the shoulders may also.

I'm 5'8 185 lbs, 43 chest and about 37-38 abdomen ( got to loose some weight :)
Honestly, I can probable get away with either size, 44 was much more comfortable from the start, but little things were bugging me, like sleeves were a bit to long and were bunching up, excessive amount of material behind shoulder blades, just a sloppy look over all from the side, you could adjust waist buckles, but it had to be adjusted almost to the last hole, and it looked like balloon, very odd.
This is better fit, and as long as it stretches a bit, it should be fine. I guess I'm a bit fussy when it comes to comfort as I'm getting there in years . Shoulders kind of restricted and arms in general are to tight. I do have big arms, specially in upper area, but I think jacket just meant to be tight in arms to keep you warm.
I guess, my perfect jacket would of been something in between these 2 sizes :)
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
This jacket is of outstanding quality . I don't know if it is worth the price they are charging for it, but it is just really really cool. The materials, the fit, quality and design, the lived in look, packaging. Rob also included their wall calendar for 2019.
I love it. I can see how people get addicted to these jackets :)
Happy holidays everyone !

Fit is spot on, looks good. These jackets are very stiff and restrictive when new and take a good while to break in . But it’s worth the discomfort .

I’ve owned 3 eastman b-3’s
Trust me when I say this is a perfect fit on you. But trust me when I say they are not easy to move around in. Mine always Had binding across my shoulders and back whenever I lifted my arms to do anything like driving etc.

Welcome to the lounge, Big7, and I think your jacket looks spot-on in terms of fit. It’s a keeper!
And it looks great on you. Wear it in good health for all the many years of service that you’ll get from it, Big7.

And to anyone reading this today, Christmas Day, as the great thespian Kermit The Frog said playing Bob Crachit in A Muppet Christmas Carol (surely the definitive version of the Dickens classic IMO), “Merry Christmas. And God bless us, everyone”.

Cheers to everyone at TFL and may you all wear your jackets well and in good health in 2019...

This is exactly what I was trying to find out, if it suppose to be binding and not a wrong fit. I guess because 44 was a bit big it had more length in the arms and the back to freely move around, but I did feel in it, as it was someone else's hand me downs , not really my size.
So, as long as it loosens up a bit, I guess it is a keeper , thanks everyone

That is about as perfect a fitting B3 as I have seen. I can attest to a too-large-fit of my Eastman B-3: brand new size 44 in the same jacket as yours, however, I am 5'9", 150lbs. with a 40" chest and a 32" waist. I have worn it less than half a dozen times and it is simply ginormous on me. I will be offering it for sale here soon. Enjoy yours and I envy the fit!
