What a beauty Max!
Get some grey tails and a cane and you could be that guy in the Mr. Disney hats.
Oh crap!! Did i say Disney??

Thank you, Bowen! It looks nice and clean, and I love the brim. I saw others, that had a lot of defects, that were priced higher. This seemed like a good deal.

Thank you, I've perused their stock and called them.
The only thing they have that I might be interested in is the Gambler hat.
I think Im just going to hold out for a custom hat-maker.
At this point, I'm going to have to travel a few states away from this northern metrofied manufactured area and get to some good old country southern/western handmade craftsmanship.

Yo, DM, have you tried to contact Vince Corvelli in Bethesda? He can do what you need, if he’s still in practice!

THIS is why we love the Lounge, Sir!
I used Googoo.com to find him, and among other results came up with this:
https://www.facebook.com/americanhatters/

He did a high weave count Panama block and finish for me a few years ago. Excellent job! He had blocks that no other hatter I found anywhere had.

Hi Jim, and HAPPy New Year to EVERYBODY!!! I miss the lot of you!!!!

I’ve accepted a caretaker role as needed for my Mother. It’s possibly one of the most mentally therapeutic things one can do, I’m finding. Like parenthood when properly approached, there’s little or no room for self absorption, although it’s important to care for the caretaker. So I’m happy to report I am really good with this, at this point...

I have had to lurk more, just watching, observing here. This rest, where I’ve been primarily an observer, has provided tremendous perspective, both enlightening and frustrating.

Just acquired this. A dream hat, for me. I feel very proud to have been entrusted with it.

Wow! What a hat!! I remember seeing this hat when I was first lurking here and I felt a cold sweat followed by some very un-Christian envy.

Exactly the same thing happened to me! I didn't even dream that I would some day be able to buy it.
I was too much in awe to even think of approaching the OP with an inquiry. My awe for Alan is a LOT stronger now that it was then, however. [emoji2]
