Metropolitan Uniform Co - Detroit...any info?

Im looking at a cool police jacket made by Metropolitan Uniform Co. out of Detroit. Not sure the date of manufacture, but it looks a bit like a Buco J-27. Anyone have any info on this company? Did they make decent leather jackets?

I just bought the same jacket (I think?) for under a $100 on eBay. Only bummer is it doesn't include the fur collar like the one you bought): I hope it fits!

Yes, i think so. I looked at a few of them and they all had similar tears/wear marks. Im assuming from the sidearm? I got mine for $90 but as I said, it doesn't have the elusive fur collar like yours):

It fits well, but the leather is very thin and shiny with a vinyl feel to it, not very nice at all.
On the other hand i don't think i will find another PJ-27 in that condition, at that price that fits me.

Not sure what to do with it yet...

Thats funny, I emailed him asking about the leather quality/thickness. Looked a bit suspect in the photos. Post some fit pix?

Got mine today. Leather seems pretty good to me. As thick as my Vanson. A wee snug in the midsection, but it can work.
