Fantastic, Brent. What a great find! Does the sweatband size tag say 3/4 or 7 3/4? I'm guessing mid to late 50s based on the size tag...

eBay Victory. Longley Low and Anderson. My black hat requirements just went down quite a notch with this one.

I am totally (and pleasantly) shocked this one didn’t hit the sky on price!

The seller says he is selling his 40-year private collection, I encouraged him to post some here on The Lounge. :)

Please tell me how the felt is on that one, Daniel. In some pics it looks very rough, and I want to know if I am right.

Looks like an old Stetson by way of Akubra.
For a while Akubra made Open Roads for Stetson under contract. They show up occasionally & all I have seen have been 3X. When the contract expired Akubra started making the CD. They may have overlapped for a time; not sure. They apparently made the BOTP under contract also. The first BOTP I have ever seen showed up just recently. Also a 3X.

All badged as Stetsons.

Yes I read about this. I’ve been considering an Akubra CD purchase. This one looked like a nice deep brown and would have been a good edition to the OR collection so I’m kicking myself. Oh well I’m in it for the long haul anyway.

Is this really Borsalino's Supreme Quality, Stefan @steur? What year was it made about, anyone?

Great catch, Max. I'd rate their extra extra superiore the best, but that's because it's the lightest (and I like that). Other than that it's hard to tell the distinction between their quality designations. This one is mid- to late fifties.
