The only ones I have seen that new were on Cal’s FB and IG accounts. I posted a brown HH jacket picture a while back that was amazing.

I’ve considered it, and may do it one day, but the vtg jackets are enough for now. You need to start a hunt for one in your size.

I love the way their leather ages. All the vintage pics have amazing patina. I am also surprised we don't see more Bates jackets on this forum. I think you are about the only member with one. I really liked the patina on that jacket.

Pretty sure my brown one (also sold) was purchased from Regius. Before I knew he was our Regius.
Bates is one of my personal favorite jacket builders. Had quite a few over the years!

I have a Bates I choose because the colors went with my Ducati Multistrada. Unfortunately at taged size 46, the jacket is too large on me. This is the only Bates I have handled. The jacket is well made with nice Steer hide, but I would place it in the same level as Cal Leather, Langlitz or Buco jackets I have handled. I believe my Bates is newer (late 60s or 70s) than the Cal Leather and Buco jacket I've handled.

Is Cal still in business? I tried calling them a few times. It just rings and rings. No way to even leave a message.
I had the same experience. They still run an IG account, beyond that it doesn’t seem like they do much else.

I have been trying to reach them a few months ago but never got a reply. The email they've replied to me through before doesn't exist anymore. I hope they're still in business. It'd be a damn shame to lose them...
