First one of the latest hat haul. None of the hats were in my size (but one did fit me).
Staalmeester Export Quality homburg in not green, but brown :). Size 59, with the brim at 5cm and the crown 11,5cm at the center dent. Looks like it's never been worn. Unusual colour for a homburg too. I'm guessing sixties.

Very nice! The “ unusual” colors may have been more common than we think. My father had a “ Lobbia” ( Italian nome for Homburg ) in a very nice Blue-Grey color. That should still be somewhere in my mother’s place ( but way too small for me)

Two nice Homburg finds Stefan, especially the Heath.
Am I going colour blind or what? To me, that Staalmeester is brown.

You might be right there, Steve. I am the colourblind one. It looked different from the brown hats I have so I had it down for myself as a mossgreen. I'll consult the authorities on this. :) Don't adjust your set!

There's nothing green at all about that one, Stefan. It's still a nice and not often seen brown colour for a Homburg, though.
You may be colour blind, but your eyes can spot a good hat when they see one [emoji145]

looks brown to me but overcast sky and a cool color temperature may play tricks on us.

I'll take your word for it. Posting corrected. Now I'm wondering how many green hats I have in my collection by accident!;)

Change of colour.
P&C Habig in grey. This one was missing its ribbon, but looked interesting enough to bring along. Size 57 (but I think it's closer to a size 58 - measuring 20,1 x 16,7cm). Brim at 6cm and crown 10,5cm at the center dent.
One of those in between hats. Not exactly a homburg, but very close. Sometimes called "camber". I put on the burgundy ribbon (quite pleased with how that turned out) after I took the pics. Habig hats are dated: 1952.

Lucky for me my colourblindness doesn't extend to blue. Find a homburg in blue: bring it along.
Mayser Milz Karat homburg in dark blue. Size 58 with the brim at 5cm and the crown 11cm at the center dent. Nice find if I say so myself. Mid to late sixties probably.

That ribbon works really well on the Habig, Stefan. Nice choice.

Thanks, Steve. Mike Miller once replaced the ribbon on a grey Knox Westlite for me with a ribbon in this colour (a bit darker but close enough), so that gave me the idea.

One more then.
Wegener in dark blue. Size 60 with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown 11,5cm at the center dent. Quite the hat. Lovely hand to the felt and shapes nicely. No label inside the hat (aside from a very small size tag), but Alfred Bender from Frankfurt am Main apparently was founded in 1880, so that would place this hat in 1955. Sounds about right to me.

Chapéus Prada was founded in 1907 in Limeira, a little town in São Paulo, Brazil by Agostino Prada an italian immigrant. The company would become one of the most important hat factories in the country and was very important for the economy of Limeira. Agostino Prada died in 1975 but the the company outlived him till 1999 when was bought by a group of investors and chagend its name to Pralana.

The Prada Building still exists and today is the City Hall of Limeira.
