yeah, the one I got coming was $330. But there was $30 to fix the collar and another $30 because I wanted him to take out the arm pit gussets. So thinking $250-270ish. And that was with their supposed best/thickest leather. So there's some variables there.
I’ve been qouted $275-$300 custom
But I got a made to measure distressed trucker for $175 and that went up like $50-$60 or so to buy now. Still a great value great jacket

From the looks of it he nailed the subtle hour glass shape I asked for from the shoulder to hem. And that’s with the belts fully let out. I’m really looking forward to how this one fits. All numbers were hit spot on. I have only myself to blame. I went into an exceedingly rich amount of detail.

There should be a downloadable doc from Five Star that asks for all these little detailed measurements when custom sizing/ ordering!
This is the only way to get it right!
As customers, we shouldn’t be expected to come up with all this on our own... it’s like when BK were making huge sleeve openings, and then defended it by saying we forgot to modify that part.

I think the hard part is each pattern is different but I agree. Something where the size block can be modified/altered from whatever the “standard” is.

that's amazing, Ton. He's been working on that for like what, a week?

what leather did you go with? Can't tell if that's steer? And color?

I can't wait to get my jacket next few days. I want to confirm some measurements, but more so confirm I like the leather (or the samples). I did a lot of research into J100 and think I got it nailed with all the photos, design notes, etc. Would love to have 5* give it a try.

Fit pics comparing both when it arrives please!
I might be crazy but to me they look like two different jackets...
The back panel geometry is different, the sleeves are implented differently and have a different curve, the epaulettes look like standard A2 epaulettes, the collar has a different angle compared to the lapel...

I'm really curious to see how the differences affect the fit.

@MrProper i have been dreaming of a toggle lock jacket since i saw them on that old D-1 a while back, i really look forward to seeing yours too.

Agreed there are some distinct differences, most notably the collar angle. Wish I could do a fit compare...the original was a size 38” from eBay that I screen grabbed!
