What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Wow is this a fact? I have an entire room with 1 double decker rail and 3 industrial straight rails full of jackets and I thought that was bad! A whole house!?

Perhaps a “small” cabana. A sort of west wing added to his home. Lol. But it was impressive. Super cool too.

And now that you mention it, I think we need to see photos of your insane double-decker rail system.

Pike Brothers Glendale

I'm not quite sure what to think of this pike brothers glendale (made in portugal) jacket, I got recently. It is the successor of the jacket originally made in greece (bill kelso?). It is visually identical to the Wingman from BK. The leather is described as cowhide. The workmanship is excellent, the hardware repro Talon is okay and the biggest plus, this jacket fits perfectly, just like custom made. The leather takes a bit of getting used to for me, very light with a light cotton lining, otherwise what I was actually looking for. Optically the leather looks very nice to me! But... one thing that bothered me so far is the haptic. Somehow the leather has a kind of "spongy/plastic feeling" similar to how I get it from e.g. schott jackets made from cowhide.

If someone here in the forum knows more about the background to this jacket, especially the leather used, he is always welcome. I know @Mysteryo sold one. I wrote to PB whether there was a difference between the jackets made in greece and made in portugal. The answer was that both products are identical.

Maybe someone has a BK jacket from cowhide with the same spongy-like feel (it feels more like a lamp- or capeskin) or maybe this is the usual feel of a thinner cowhide jacket, hmmm?

But, it is a keeper. Maybe I'm not used to the feel of a “cheaper” leather jacket after years of playing in the first division ;)

Terry et al, what’s up with the rivets at the ends of the pockets? Reinforcement? Protect the pocket in a slide? ...?

Very cool jacket Terry, one of my faves from your collection. So many little surprises to find!

This is the only jacket I have with any Spot work. I have seen another Californian with the same decoration so it is original. I have never seen another Californian with Spot work.

Buco, used Spot work on some models of their jackets. Spot work shows up on other Brands, but not that often.

Buco sold the Spots as an accessories you could install yourself. There are examples in all the MC books of adorned jackets, binged out, but not all that common.

The placement with these is really subtle and appealing. The blinged out ones are cool too in a more punk rock way.
