Musician's hats

Native American (Ute) men sit and play the morache (rasp) instrument, probably in western Colorado. 1900 - 1920?

Looking at just the first pic, I thought it was Vincent Price.

Jason "Rowdy" Cope, guitar player for the Steel Woods.
Prior to co-founding the Steel Woods, he played in Jamey Johnson's band for 9 years, while also collaborating with other artists such as Brent Cobb and the Oak Ridge Boys. Sadly, Rowdy passed away in January at the age of 42 to unknown causes. I remember reading that he was having complications with diabetes in the months leading up to his death.

This song in a way is fitting for the Songs That Mention Hats thread, but now has a more ominous feel to it after Rowdy's passing.
