To celebrate my 54th, my wife bought me a $40.00 CAD ribeye steak. Ten minutes per side, rotated every 2.5 minutes. Wife and eldest girl had beef kebabs , while youngest girl had ribs.

Either pulled pork tacos with homemade tortillas or if we are being lazy it will be Japanese take out (we have a half bottle of sake in the fridge that is calling to us).

Looks delicious, but far too much salt! But what do I know, my doctor said I have low sodium, so I'm obviously not getting enough.

The salt was preparatory to grilling. Most of it came off during the cooking, and I scraped most of the rest off.
Butcher recommendation in order to get some salt deeper into what was over an inch thick chunk of meat.
I very slightly over cooked, the result of having multiple meats and timings. Was fantastic by the way!

There is to be no leaving the table until all has been eaten! Well I don’t really know if that is the rule around here, but that is how it happens. Unless Lady ToE decrees that we are saving some for the next day’s dinner.

Strip steak pan fried, tater bits tossed in microwave last nite.
Tonite may do pre-cooked bacon or tuna, mayo, saltines.
Since Covid appeared on the scene, I haven't visited the submarine sandwich shop on the Van Buren corner
across the Cook County jail, their 12" roast beef was a favorite of mine and the shop carried Otis Spunkmeyer
banana muffins too. May hit this place tomorrow.
