Out of joe. Out of everything really. And entirely too comfortable to move. Need to get my ass in gear.
Options exist: Flapjacks; Beverly Bakery, The Black Oak. And Dunkin Donuts just down the street,
grab a box of mixed munchkins or just plain jane munchkins. Coffee. Or, CVS. Across the street.
Eggs, spam, corned beef hash. Pick up a can of Folgers or Maxwell House, whatever on sale'll do.

But first dig through the kitchen trash canister bag for used coffee grounds caught inside paper filters,
enough residual grounds for brewing a small pot.

I (and my Dr.) have decided that I'm too fat for my own good, so I have taken to doing intermittent fasting. This means that I've cut my eating window down to about 6 hours a day which basically allows for a late lunch and an early dinner. So I don't do breakfast anymore (just A LOT of coffee in the morning). But I do have breakfast for lunch quite often which usually means a honking big omelet! Yesterday I shared with my wife a 5 egg (no milk), mushroom, tomato, bacon, and cheddar omelet.

The LIKE is for the meal and the fact that you had a meal. I want to give you an UNLIKE for the intermittent fasting, but since it is for a good cause, I will not. Good luck with the losing of extra weight!

Thank you, but why the unlike? Intermittent fasting is the latest greatest thing, and it is quite effective. I'm basically not eating between 7pm and noon/1pm, and my meals are healthier. My problem to begin with has been that I'm not a fussy eater. There is very little that I object to. There are fanatics who take it to the extreem, fasting for 48, 72, 100+ hours at a time. The longest I went was 4 days about 20 years ago, and it happened quite naturally and unexpectedly.

Fasting for me would be a form of torture. I enjoy eating too much to not do so. Hunger pangs come my way when I am late for or miss a meal. As I have gotten older, I have had to cut back on portion size as I can now gain weight rather easily. Keeping active also helps, but I do not believe I could ever resort to fasting. More power to you!
